Jamie pursued her dream of working with animals by graduating with an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Northeast Missouri State University and is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Her experience has led her to believe the most heartwarming reward is seeing a sick pet now well and going home with a happy owner.
She has over 20 years experience in the husbandry of rabbits raising nationally winning show rabbits and was inducted into the Holland Lop Rabbit Hall of Fame. Jamie currently resides outside of Milan, IL with her husband, Mike. She enjoys being with family, flower and vegetable gardening, landscaping, trail riding, and showing her Toy Fox Terriers.
She worked at Andalusia Road for 2 years before her love of adventure, travel and influence from her sweetheart led her to the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In the anesthesiology department she discovered the challenge of working with large animals, involved in long surgeries and being called to work all hours of the night.
A few years later, Amy moved back to the Quad Cities. Returning to her Andalusia Road family, she spent the next 10 years educating owners and caring for their pets before joining us in 2015. Amy is dedicated to her patients and ready to utilize her skills in anesthesiology to care for your pets during surgery and dental cleanings!
Jennifer has always been a bit of an animal worshiper, so when she was given the opportunity in 2011 to fulfill her dream of working with animals as a veterinary assistant, after spending 19 years in the printing industry, she took the leap. It was a big one, but she loves her job and is glad she did it. She loves spending her days caring for the pets of others AND learning how to be a better owner to her own pets.
In her free time, Jennifer and her husband love spending time at their cabin in Upper Michigan, kayaking and exploring Lake Superior.
